ISIS (Islamis State of Islam and Syria) is a group of Islamic Extremists who have taken over many parts of Iraq and Syria and killing many civilians for no apparent reason. Obama's foreign policy on managing ISIS is quite unknown at this point. Obama has no concrete strategy as of right now. His plans seem to be more concentrated on taking down Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad which is something that should be done but in order to overthrow Assad, the first step should be to take down ISIS. Only then, can we remove Bashar al-Assad from power.
Donald Trump's foreign policy on ISIS (Islamic State of Islam and Syria) is surprisingly agreeable with. Despite Trump's ridiculous beliefs on all of his other topics, his view on how the United States should handle Isis is rational. He proposes that we let Russia handle them in Syria since we know that Russia wants ISIS gone just as much as the U.S. does and the United States will take care of ISIS in Iraq. Trump's proposal is lacking specific details so it is unsure of how rational his strategy can be.
In Hilary Clinton's speech on counterterrorism and foreign policy, she explains to the audience her three part plan which is to 1. destroy ISIS by bombing them and pursuing them on ground 2. dismantle their network of terror around the world that supplies them with arms and fighers and 3. disrupt radicalization and harden our forces. Her strategy consists of many different elements which are recruitment, training, planning and execution that are essential to the safety of the United States. Hilary Clinton wants to shut down recruitment online and empower the Muslim Americans that are fighting in front line of the war against radicalization.
ISIS is a bigger threat than we make them out to be. It is crucial for the United State's security that we get rid of ISIS first and foremost.
